The Indo-American Arts & Culture Forum Inc. has progressively gained vast attention both in the United States and India for the high-quality programs it brings to both the Indian diaspora and the American public. The Indo-American Arts and Cultural Forum Inc. now commands and enjoys a highly respectable name and position in American creative society.
    
Nritya Kala Kendra Inc. originated with the purpose of creating, forming and establishing an organization to promote the ancient and modern arts of India in the United States and abroad; to encourage, cultivate and foster cooperation and friendly intercourse among artists, art teachers, students, educators, craftsmen, performers and other professionals engaged in artistic activities and the study of the arts; to endeavor to expand and enrich the cultural heritage of the general public; to provide a forum for the free exchange of cultural and artistic information; to attempt to make such artistic and cultural enrichment geographically and financially accessible to the general public; to aid, assist, cooperate, co-sponsor and otherwise engage in concerted action with private and governmental agencies and organizations on programs to enrich and advance the cultural and artistic knowledge of the community; to create, form and establish a council of the arts to sponsor the work of local artists; to initiate, organize, establish and conduct activities on cultural and artistic presentation programs designed, calculated and dedicated to improve and enrich the quality of life of the general public; to aid, assist, cooperate, co-sponsor and otherwise engage in concerted action with private and governmental agencies and organizations with the same or similar objectives, to organize and conduct cultural and musical performances, dances, concerts, exhibitions, competitions, symposiums and forums and generally to promote, foster and advance interest, participation and study of the arts and related sciences in the United States and abroad.

As you know, New York City is the melting post of various cultures of the world and we have a unique opportunity to display our heritage and culture to maximum effect.  As you can understand, this environment has led to fusion of international arts, cultures, music, cuisine, costumes etc. and the Indian component has played a significant role in shaping and popularizing it. It is in India’s best interest to give full strength and support to such efforts here in the United States.
